Simple & Quick Apple Tart

The hardest part in preparing this is cutting up the apples. If you master that you can put this together in under 10 minutes. You can cut the puff pastry into 2 pieces instead of 3 if you prefer. This will make 2 larger tarts with more puff pastry on the edges.

Ingredients
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 whole apples, cored and peeled, cut in half and sliced
  • ½ stick of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp of salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 415 degrees.
  2. Cut puffed pastry into thirds or in half and place on baking sheet.
  3. Prepare apples.
  4. Mix the sugar, cinnamon and salt in a bowl.
  5. Toss the apples in the mixture and make sure they are covered well.
  6. Let sit for a few minutes.
  7. Place apples in a line down the puff pastry so they are overlapping a bit.
  8. Dice up the butter and sprinkle the diced butter on top of all the apples. It will melt while cooking and will be delicious.
  9. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the pastry looks golden brown.
  10. Top with a sprinkling of powdered sugar.
